We partner with architects and interior designers who need a builder that speaks their language and can translate their plans into fully realized spaces. If you haven’t found the perfect partnership yet, let’s chat.
We’ve partnered with many design professionals across Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Here are some of the professionals we’ve collaborated with.

“Dominick is an outstanding contractor whose knowledge and attention to detail on the job are unmatched. Watershed is the first person I call when a new project arises.
Dom is in constant communication with the client and subs and knows exactly what is going on with each of his projects. He is accountable and reliable and a pleasure to work with.”
—Natalie Fey, Celadon Interiors
Many projects arrive at Watershed with the designs ready to go, leaving homeowners awaiting a project manager and crew who can pluck the plans off the page and fit them onto the home. At Watershed, your vision becomes our mission. Our job isn’t to treat your designs as suggestions; it’s to translate your drawings into tangible results without drama or ego, and without trying to make it ours.
In order to be effective executors, we secure fixed pricing and have a dedicated project manager who coordinates all the daily details on-site and schedules every sub so the operation runs as smoothly as possible.

Our collaborations look a little different depending on who brings the client to the table.
We step in as the trusted partner executing your vision. We have less control over the design itself, but if the project’s grown past the homeowner’s budget, we’ll work hand in hand with you to scale it back rather than blindsiding your client with a high number.
We have more room to steer the timeline and budget together. We can come straight to you and ask, “Is a turnaround by this date realistic?” and work it out before it becomes a problem for either of us.
Architects own the structural vision. They devise the floor plan, the framing, how an addition ties into the existing roofline, and what needs an engineer’s stamp before it goes anywhere near construction. We build to what you’ve drawn, not around it. If something in the field doesn’t match the plans, the project manager will reach out before we change course.
While we pull permits, coordinate the trades, and manage the schedule, the drawings stay yours, whatever system your office prefers. We’re not here to veto your decisions. We’re here to execute our part of the plan flawlessly.
Interior designers typically own the selections on a project, whether that’s cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, finishes, or furnishings. We build our pricing and execution around exactly what you’ve specified. We’re not going to substitute a finish because it’s easier for us to find, and we’ll never show up to a client meeting without knowing the details.
We work off whatever drawings and renderings your team produces, no matter the software you use, whether it’s AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Chief Architect, or your own process entirely.
01
Once a project’s under contract, the price doesn’t move except for real structural or hazardous surprises. Because of this, you’ll never be tasked with explaining to your client a change order that wasn’t your fault.
02
If a design’s grown past what a homeowner can spend, we’ll work with you to value-engineer it to a lower price instead of cutting corners behind your back.
03
We don’t redesign on the fly. If something needs to change mid-build, you hear about it from us first, not after we’ve taken liberties with your designs.
04
A dedicated project manager runs the job start to finish, so you’re not chasing down five different people to find out where the selections stand.
05
Every referral puts your name on the line, and we know it. We stay on schedule, communicate daily, and don’t leave you to clean up after us.
06
Our featured project pages showcase your design alongside our build, not in place of it.
