The Commitments We Build By

You take pride in your home. We take pride in the work we do to make it feel like one, and these are the commitments that guide us.

We’re Your Neighbors, & We Treat You Like One

At Watershed Builders, we live where we work, and we’re proud to serve the communities we’re a part of. From the first phone call to the last check-in, we’re treating you with the same kindness and respect that we treat our neighbors with. That includes giving you a fixed-price we won’t go back on weeks down the road.

We Take Care of Your Home Like It’s Our Own

Your home is a haven, and it takes a lot of trust to leave it in someone else’s hands. We understand that, and strive to treat your home like it’s our own. Whether it’s organizing a temporary kitchen so you can stay put while we renovate or making sure active construction zones are safe for your kids, our team ensures your house feels like a home the whole way through.

We’re On the Same Team & You’re On It, Too

Watershed builds don’t have the haphazard collection of trades and designers with overlapping schedules and poor communication you hear stories about. Every build has its own team, and one that you’re a part of, too. You get all of the updates the rest of us get, and are included in every decision that gets made.

What to Expect When Working With Watershed

Life is full of complications, so we’ve kept our process simple and straightforward.

Step 01

An Initial Call

Collaboration starts with conversation, and the initial call is what kicks everything off. We’ll ask you about where you live, your ideas and concerns, and your timeline. If your project feels like a perfect fit, we’ll schedule an in-home consult.

Step 02

An In-Home Consult

This is when we start getting specific about what you’re looking for and how Watershed can make it happen. We’ll walk through your home with you, assess how your spaces currently work, and where we can make improvements. As the plan takes shape, we’ll start to discuss the budget so you know if Watershed fits within your range and make a referral to a trusted designer to start schematic drawings.

Step 03

A Pre-Construction Phase

Once we move into the Pre-Construction Phase, we’ll start communicating the details of the plan we’ve solidified: real costs, code requirements, on-site conditions, and so on. You’ll get a fixed-price proposal that won’t change throughout the project, save for any updates you make to our agreement and major unforeseen complications, like structural concerns.

We charge 1% of the preliminary budget as earnest money in this phase, but every penny gets applied to building costs.

Step 04

A Meeting to Sign the Construction Agreement

If you’re as excited about working with us as we are with you, we’ll present you with the final proposal. Your signature gets us started.

Once we have the green light, we’ll submit the necessary permit applications and assign you a Project Manager to kick things off.

How Much Does a Kitchen Remodel Cost?

Every project is unique and priced around your specific needs, wants, and design. Reach out and let’s talk about how we can help create your space.

Investment:

$100,000 - $250,000+

Timeline:

8 - 16+ Weeks

Your Finishes

On average, most kitchen remodels cost about $175,000, with the biggest cost factor being the finishes you choose. On the lower end, kitchen remodels start at around $100,000 and feature builder-grade finishes like semi-custom cabinets, quartz countertops, and ceramic tile. However, high-end fixtures like grain-matched cabinets and stone counters will push you closer to $250,000+. Keep in mind that the costs of purchasing and installing appliances aren’t included in these estimates.

Your Scope

Additionally, any layout alterations and subsequent structural changes will push the number higher. For example, relocating a window and adding an island will cost much more than pulling out and replacing old cabinets and appliances in the exact same spot. When it comes to fully gutting the kitchen, cabinetry and countertops often account for more than half of your budget.

Common Kitchen Remodel Customizations Our Clients Ask For

Your outdated, closed-off kitchen isn’t a lost cause. With the help of our trusted design partners, we transform your kitchens into spaces you want to spend time in through customizations like these.

Custom Cabinetry
Cabinets draw a lot of attention in your kitchen, and we work to preserve, update, or install new ones to ensure they’re worthy of the focus they receive.

Improved Layout
More space isn’t always the answer to your problems, while reworking the kitchen’s layout to better fit your family’s routines often is.

Reworked or Custom Island
When you want extra counter space, but you enjoy the layout as-is, adding or expanding a central island can do the trick.

Structural Changes
From knocking down walls to widening the doorway, structural changes give your kitchen the chance to adopt a fresh identity.

Custom Hood
A statement hood nestled between the cabinets and set above your stove is a unique focal point for a largely monochrome kitchen.

Tile
When you have a vision, we execute it, including installing floor-to-ceiling handmade tiles or carefully patterned tile backsplashes.

Flooring
Updating old laminate or worn hardwood in your kitchen gives the space a newer, modern impression.

Added Dry Bar
Specialty pit stops like a new dry bar further make your kitchen feel like yours.

Common Questions Your Neighbors Ask Us About Kitchen Remodeling

You have questions about working with us, and your neighbors have some of the answers. For the things they don’t know, we can fill in the rest.

How much is a kitchen remodel going to cost me?

A basic kitchen remodel starts around $100,000, with costs rising from there based on finish level and whether the layout is changing.

No, you don’t need your own designer to work with us! Many of our kitchen projects were brought to us by designers, while some homeowners come to us with finished plans and selections already in hand.

However, if you have an idea for your dream kitchen but don’t know where to start, we’ll work hard with our trusted local architects and interior designers to find the perfect people to add to your team.

Yes, and many homeowners who work with us do.

We set up a temporary kitchen when needed, seal the work zone with dust protection and plastic barriers, run air-scrubbing equipment, and plan the shortest possible path in and out to minimize foot traffic. We also communicate daily about what’s happening so you can plan meals and routines around the noise.

At Watershed, you’re an important part of our team, and that means sending you daily progress updates through our client portal, JobTread, to keep you as up-to-date as any one of our on-site workers are.

Yes. Once we price everything during pre-construction, that number is guaranteed. The only things that trigger a change order are the surprises we can’t plan for, like an unknown pipe puncture and a slow leak.
